John Joseph Battista
- John Battista will be remembered for his easy laugh and gift for telling jokes, his caring spirit, and his loyalty to friends, family and his neighborhood.
John Joseph Battista, a resident of the Village of Virginia Trace, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 82. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late John and Mary Battista. John served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later worked as a dedicated employee at the New York City Department of Sanitation for over 30 years. He was known for his love of golf, his sense of humor, and his commitment to family, leaving behind his wife, two children, and several grandchildren. His life was celebrated for his service, his community involvement, and the joy he brought to those around him.
