Cenovus hits new Canada oil sands production record

Cenovus Energy has achieved a new production record in Canada's oil sands, reaching 805,900 barrels per day in the fourth quarter of 2023, surpassing its previous record set in the third quarter. This increase was driven by strong performance at its Foster Creek, Christina Lake, and Sunrise operations. The company also reported a significant rise in total upstream production, which was up by 2.5% from the previous quarter, totaling 810,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
