  • The sale of Shrewsbury-based Wildes Plant Hire & AT Wilde & Son has been confirmed. Accountants Azets advised on the sale of the business to Zofre Investments Limited. The acquisition will see the company continue under the existing trading names, with Peter Venn at the helm but both David and Peter Wilde still involved in the business.

The Shropshire Star reported on December 5, 2024, that a deal has been finalized for the acquisition of a well-established Shrewsbury firm, Morris Lubricants, by UK Fuels. This acquisition aims to enhance the product offerings and service capabilities of both companies. Morris Lubricants, known for its high-quality lubricants and oils, will continue to operate from its Shrewsbury base, ensuring continuity for its employees and customers. The deal is seen as a strategic move to bolster UK Fuels' market position in the fuel and lubricant sector, promising growth and innovation through the combined strengths of both entities.
