

Bernadette Sohler, Middlesex Water VP, to Be Recognized at EWNJ "Salute to Policy Makers" Event

Sohler plays a key role in the areas of strategic direction and implementation in matters of crisis management, corporate, investor and employee communications, government relations, marketing, community affairs and corporate philanthropic activities for Middlesex Water Company, a leading water and wastewater service provider serving a population of 400,000 in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
A graduate of Leadership New Jersey, Sohler serves on the Boards of Directors of Heroes and Cool Kids, the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce, the American Conference on Diversity (Central Jersey Chapter) and is a Commissioner of the Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission. She is active in sustainability initiatives on a local and county level and serves on industry communications committees for the New Jersey Utilities Association, and the American Water Works Association, New Jersey section. Prior to joining Middlesex, Bernadette held marketing and management positions in the financial services and public relations industry. She holds a B.A. from Seton Hall University and a M.A. from Fordham University.
Proceeds from the event will fund EWNJ's scholarship program, which has provided over $1 million in scholarships to more than 300 deserving New Jersey women enrolled in advanced degree programs at New Jersey institutions since instituting the program in 1986, as well as other programs that advance women.
