BRYN MAWR, Pa.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Aqua America, Inc. (NYSE:WTR) announced today at its annual meeting of shareholders that it has completed and published a sustainability report, which highlights various segments of its operations and efforts the company is making to sustain its own business as well as make a positive impact on the environment and the communities in which it operates. The announcement was made during a presentation by the companya™s Chief Environmental Officer Preston Luitweiler. Among the topics addressed in the sustainability report are infrastructure, water production and delivery, customer usage, wastewater reuse, residuals management, watershed protection, energy resources, and alternative energy. The report focuses primarily on Aqua Americaa™s Pennsylvania subsidiary, which is the largest and oldest of its operating units, accounting for more than half of the companya™s revenue and nearly half of its customer base.
