TORONTO--(Marketwire - March 27, 2009) - W2 Energy (PINKSHEETS: [ WTWO ]), a sustainable energy company, is pleased to announce that its proprietary Clean Coal Power Plant (CCPP) system can convert any type of coal into electricity, liquid fuel or combination of both, with zero carbon dioxide emissions. It is especially compatible with low BTU lignite coal presently being used to fuel most of the power plants in SE Asia.. The W2 Plant processes coal into ultra-low sulfur diesel, gasoline and jet fuel.

The People's Republic of China has recently announced that it expects to build 544 power plants in SE Asia to meet rapidly increasing demand, according to an article released by the BBC. These plants would normally be powered by the low BTU lignite coal in SE Asia, causing significant adverse environmental pollution. W2 energy's plant offers a true alternative for all traditional coal fired thermal plants without the normal pollution associated with this type of operation.

W2 energy is also able operate off the grid at any coal mine site and add tremendous value to the bottom line of the coal mine. W2 has begun introducing its plants into SE Asia through RJ Howell Ltd. Discussions are underway with several companies to use the W2 Coal Power Plant to process their coal reserves rather than using conventional methods. The technology will reduce the cost of bringing a coal mine into production, and accelerate the mining operation timelines associated with a start up or increasing production while eliminating most of the overall pollution associated with this type of operations.

It is worth noting that as a result of the proprietary closed loop system, all of W2 Energy's plant are CO2 negative and qualify for Carbon Credits. These Credits will add more profits to the bottom line in addition to the main revenue stream.

"These carbon credits will be available to all our joint venture partners as long as industry and governments worldwide are trying to meet green energy portfolio standards," says Mike McLaren, CEO of W2 Energy. "More industry regulation means more of a worldwide demand for carbon credits."

Carbon credits sell for cash on the Chicago and European Climate exchanges and can be traded the same as stocks. Carbon credits are sold to polluters to help them meet carbon output regulations, and to companies, municipalities and countries that have voluntary carbon output portfolio standards.

"Selling carbon credits will be a significant part of the revenue stream for W2 Energy and its joint venture partners," says McLaren.
