TORONTO--(Marketwire - March 23, 2009) - W2 Energy Inc. (PINKSHEETS: [ WTWO ]) a developer of green energy is pleased to announce it has successfully modified and test-operated its rotary engine to run on hydraulics. The engine, based on US patent number 5,720,251, now runs on high or low pressure hydraulic fluid.

W2 Energy will be using this engine, which W2 Energy called the V90, as an integral piece used to generate electricity from the SEGS System (Small Electric Generation System) which can be found on the company’s website under the Technology section. The first unit of the SEGS will be a small hydroelectric system capable of generating 100-250KW of electricity from low head streams or canals.

Video of the V90 engine will be posted on the W2 Energy website ([ www.w2energy.com ]).

W2 Energy will be connecting an electrical generator onto the V90 as soon as possible, so that true operational efficiency figures can be generated.

"We built the V90 to begin the process of realizing the SEGS dream," says Mike McLaren, CEO of W2 Energy. "Based on the performance we have seen so far from the Steam Ray and the V90, we believe we can meet or exceed expectations to deliver a completely integrated green energy system."

Mr. McLaren further stated, "We look forward to building even more efficient and powerful versions of the motor design and now will begin the modifications to run the engine on combustion. Based on the results so far our opinion is that the engine running on natural gas or syn-gas will prove to be a major player in the green power generation market."
