AUSTIN, Texas--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Critical backup power systems inventor and manufacturer Active Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACPW), today announced its PowerHouse solution, a containerized and complete continuous power system, earned the silver award in the SearchDataCenter.com 2008 Data Center Product of the Year Awards program, Data Center Infrastructure category.

The program was limited to three categories – data center infrastructure (i.e., backup power, data center cooling, other support products, etc.); enterprise server hardware; and systems management tools.
