Teche Holding Company: Teche Holding Company Announces Fifty-Fifth Consecutive Quarterly Dividends

FRANKLIN, LA--(Marketwire - February 19, 2009) - (NYSE Alternext US: [ TSH ]) -- The Board of Directors of Teche Holding Company, holding company of Teche Federal Bank, yesterday declared a quarterly dividend of 0.35 per share of its common stock.

The dividend is 2.9% higher than the rate of $0.34 per common share this time last year. This represents a quarterly payout ratio of 42.2% based on diluted earnings per share for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 and a quarterly payout ratio of 36.1% based on core diluted earnings per share for the quarter ended December 31, 2008. The effective dividend yield amounts to 5.1% based on the stock price on the close of business on February 17, 2009. The dividend will be paid on March 31, 2009 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on March 17, 2009. The company has paid a cash dividend for fifty-five consecutive quarters.
