Intrinsyc Software International, Inc.: Intrinsyc Announces Destinator For Android
BARCELONA, SPAIN--(Marketwire - Feb. 16, 2009) - Mobile World Congress: Intrinsyc Software International, Inc. (TSX:ICS), a leading provider of software solutions for mobile devices, today announced Destinator® for Android, the newest version of Intrinsyc's popular Destinator for smart phones GPS navigation solution. Intrinsyc will demonstrate Destinator, with audiovisual turn-by-turn navigation, fully integrated with and running on Android at the Mobile World Congress 2009, in Demonstration Meeting Room 4.7HS01 (Hall 4, floor 7).
Destinator for Android features a fully customized user interface that matches the look and feel of Android phone operation to maintain a consistent user experience. The Destinator on-board navigation application is seamlessly integrated with Android's off-board map browser, enabling searches in Google Maps based on location proximity to be displayed or set as a destination in the Destinator application. In the second quarter of 2009, full integration of Destinator with Android core features will bring navigation to other applications. For example, users will be able to save recently found locations in the phonebook; enter keywords for address searches in Google Maps; navigate to a contact's location or an address received by SMS with one click; dial and receive calls on the phone while navigating; and geo-tag photos taken with a built-in camera.
