WARREN, NJ--(Marketwire - May 8, 2009) - As the wildfire in Santa Barbara, CA, expands in scope and intensity, the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has stepped up measures to help protect its homeowners insurance customers' properties. Earlier this week, Chubb deployed its Wildfire Defense Services to the area, and, as the fire spread, it dispatched additional wildfire engines and crews.

We are in continuous contact with Incident Command and are fully coordinating our efforts with them," said Scott Spencer, worldwide loss prevention manager for Chubb Personal Insurance. "So far, we are having a lot of success in protecting our clients' homes."
