BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - May 15, 2009) - Intrepid Mines Limited (TSX:IAU)(ASX:IAU) ("Intrepid"), an international precious metals production, development and exploration company, advises that Non-Executive Director, Kevin Dundo, has retired from the Board of the Company, effective 15 May 2009.

Intrepid Chairman, Colin Jackson, expressed his thanks to Mr. Dundo for his commitment to the Company in his 7 years as director, noting that "Kevin's counsel, can-do attitude and unrelenting commitment have seen the business transformed to the financially strong company with exciting growth prospects that we have today."
