Pine Ridge Holdings, Inc.: Pine Ridge Holdings/Mike The Pike Starts Swimming With Casting Exec Attached to "Fish"
FORT WAYNE, IN--(Marketwire - May 8, 2009) - [ Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. ](
"Dino has extensive experience working with budget-conscious independent films. I'm continually impressed with his ability to create a cost efficient-creative-profitable Trifecta bringing names like Lindsey Lohan, Martin Landau and Julia Ormond to indie films which would otherwise be without name talent due to constrictive budgets," says Newbauer. "Casting Directors are imperative to the creative process in terms of profitability and the good ones, like Dino, understand the 'now' of the industry at any given time -- who's hot, who costs what and how to get them locked down, and he has the rolodex to prove it."
Ladki comments on his casting philosophy, "I take a two-pronged approach when generating casting ideas for roles. I not only consider if an actor is 'right' for a role but also what their casting does for the marketability of the film in the present -- and in the future. An actor's career trajectory is considered along with his or her talent and correctness for the part. Mark Newbauer is an innovator in the art of producing independent film. His company Mike The Pike Productions works on multiple platforms that complement and aid one another. I believe the company's unique approach to bringing its projects to audiences will prove to be a winning formula."
The budget for "Fish in a Barrel" (between $3.5m-5m) will allow Ladki to have a lot of flexibility in going after an attractive name cast for the film which will help ensure "Fish in a Barrel's" worldwide success. Newbauer expects the casting process to begin in the Fall toward a 2010 shooting schedule for the film.
Much of the company's work in their Film division leading up to Fall will include purchasing options on literary properties, mainly book rights for film adaptation. This, in addition to MTP concerts, should expedite an attractive year one asset base for the shareholders. Newbauer comments: "Statistically, in Hollywood as of late, a book is optioned about every three days. These (book) rights can be profitable as both a valuable commodity/appreciating asset or fodder for an in-house project such was the case with Summit Entertainment's multi-million dollar vampire mega-hit 'Twilight.'" The company is making great strides in the pre-production phase of its first big show, a concert production to fill a 14,000+ venue with a big name artist/band to be announced soon. The concert will take place in Aug/Sept 2009 and will feature VIP backstage video content for the company's website. Director of Concert Promotions Kelsi Velpel says, "We will not disappoint," with a smile when asked what bands are being considered for the show. "Aside from ticket sales, merchandising and sponsorships should provide for a solid revenue stream."
In the meantime, Mike The Pike Productions is adding finishing touches to its corporate website which should be unveiled by June 2009. As well, the company is underway with a Name and Ticker Symbol change to take effect over the next few weeks which will be demonstrative of its market focus and supportive of the company's emphasis on branding, universally. Pink OTC Markets Issuer Disclosures will be filed accordingly.
