Jesse Cook has been known to blend African percussion, Cajun accordion and pop vocals with his own rumba flamenco style to create a breathtaking, multi-textured global hybrid. Canadian citizens have been voting over the last two weeks to help choose 49 pieces of music that best represents who Canada is -- "the top 49 songs from north of the 49th parallel" that best define the country, especially given the depth of the musical offerings -- spanning a wide variety of genres and representing the culture from coast to coast to coast. The success of Cook's latest album, "Frontiers," has been incredible. It has remained in the Top 10 of Billboard's New Age chart for 46 weeks, and spent several weeks at #1. The radio story is just as impressive. After going Top 5 at Smooth Jazz radio with "Café Mocha," the new single titled "Havana" is climbing into the upper reaches of the Radio and Records chart.
