NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Investment Technology Group, Inc. (NYSE: ITG), a leading agency broker and financial technology firm, today announced that January 2009 US trading volume was 4.0 billion shares and average daily volume (ADV) was 202 million shares. This compares to 4.1 billion shares and ADV of 185 million shares in December 2008 and 5.2 billion shares and ADV of 245 million shares in January 2008.

There were 20 trading days in January 2009, 22 trading days in December 2008 and 21 trading days in January 2008.
