E1 Music: E1 Music to Release New Album by Mr. C, Creator of The Cha Cha Slide

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 9, 2009) - E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records) is set to release an album by Mr. C, the creator of The Cha Cha Slide. Mr. C Presents "The Cha Cha Slide Greatest Hits" will be released on March 10, 2009.

In 1996 Mr. C (aka DJ Casper) created "The Cha Cha Slide." It was supposed to be a one-off for use by a fitness gym; instead it blew up to become a worldwide phenomenon that can now be heard at almost every wedding, birthday party, skating rink, school dance, and even a national McDonald's commercial.

The song and dance caught on at radio as well, becoming one of Radio Disney's all time most played songs in their 11-year history and charting on the Billboard Top 100 and Hot Dance Music charts.

Mr. C did not stop there. He went on to create several other dance club hits, including "Roll Like Dis/The Cha Cha Slide (Part 2)." The "Greatest Hits" collection includes 13 tracks, including two remixes of the original "Cha Cha Slide" that are sure to have everyone back out on the dance floor.
