JPMorgan Chase Assists Relief Effort after Hurricane Irene

NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM) today announced it would commit $200,000 to the American Red Cross to help with Hurricane Irene relief a" $100,000 to the Greater New York chapter for services in the Tri-State area, and $100,000 to the national organization.

The JPMorgan Chase Foundation has donated more than $500 million to non-profit organizations over the last five years, including several communities around the world devastated by catastrophic events. The Foundation recently provided $500,000 to the relief efforts in areas affect by tornadoes in Alabama and Missouri and $250,000 to the relief efforts in the Horn of Africa affected by the drought.
