NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (OTC: ABKFQ) (aAmbac Financiala) today announced that, as a result of ongoing negotiations with the Commissioner of Insurance of the State of Wisconsin and Ambac Assurance Corporation (aAmbac Assurancea), it has rescheduled for October 5 and 6, 2011, the hearing relating to the approval of the Disclosure Statement for the Plan of Reorganization of Ambac Financial, dated July 6, 2011, each as filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and as may be amended (the aPlana), to provide additional time for the parties to mediate the outstanding issues between Ambac Financial and Ambac Assurance. The Bankruptcy Court hearing relating to the confirmation of the Plan has been rescheduled for December 8 and 9, 2011.
