Active Power to Present at Ardour Capital Energy Technology Conference on September 15

AUSTIN, Texas--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Active Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACPW), manufacturer of continuous power and infrastructure solutions, has been invited to present at the Ardour Capital Ninth Annual Energy Technology Conference. The conference will be held at Fordham University Graduate School of Business, Lincoln Center Campus, in New York City, Sept. 15-16, 2011.

Active Power CFO John Penver is scheduled to present Thursday, Sept. 15, at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time, with one-on-one meetings held throughout the day. Penver will discuss the companya™s progress including second quarter 2011 results and its financial outlook for the remainder of 2011.

For the second quarter of 2011, Active Power achieved year-over-year growth and sequential growth on a year-to-date basis with first half 2011 revenues at $36.5 million, up 35 percent compared to the same period in 2010.

This increase was largely driven by orders for the companya™s continuous power and infrastructure solutions including its [ PowerHouse systems ] on a global scale. New business in Asia and Europe also contributed to this growth.
