

















Manulife Strategic Income Opportunities Fund (TSX:MSO.UN) Announces Exercise of Over-Allotment Option

TORONTO, July 6, 2011 /CNW/ - Manulife Investments announces that the Syndicate of Agents for its initial public offering of the Manulife Strategic Income Opportunities Fund ("the Fund"), a closed-end investment fund, has exercised its over-allotment option and acquired an additional 300,000 units (the "Units") of the Manulife Strategic Income Opportunities Fund. In total, the Manulife Strategic Income Opportunities Fund issued 10,300,000 Units pursuant to its initial public offering, yielding gross proceeds of $103,000,000. The Units are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol MSO.UN.
The Syndicate of Agents for this offering was led by RBC Capital Markets and included CIBC, BMO Capital Markets, Manulife Securities Incorporated, Scotia Capital Inc., TD Securities Inc., GMP Securities L.P., HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., Canaccord Genuity Corp., Mackie Research Capital Corporation, Raymond James Ltd. and Wellington West Capital Markets Inc.
