NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Rodman & Renshaw, LLC, a subsidiary of Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: RODM), announced today the expansion of its investment banking practice with the addition of Xen A. Galinas who joins as a Managing Director in its Investment Banking Group to lead the firma™s activities in the Shipping & Marine sectors.

Mr. Galinas, who has lived in the U.S., England and Greece, has held senior executive positions in the international shipping transportation and U.S. investment banking industries for over 20 years. Prior to joining Rodman, Mr. Galinas was a Managing Director and Head of Shipping at the investment banking firm of Morgan Joseph TriArtisan LLC, and non-Executive Chairman of Manhattan Group Partners LLC, a New York-based merchant banking firm focused exclusively on shipping and transportation. Previously, he served as President of Olympic Tower Associates, Executive Vice President of Central American Steamship, Inc., and was a member of the Board of Directors of Williston S.A., all of which were management and business operating arms of the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation. Mr. Galinas served for 12 years as head of the Onassis Groupa™s business activities in the U.S.

Mr. Galinas received a M.S. in Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and a M.B.A. in Finance from New York University.
