BLAIRSVILLE, GA--(Marketwire - March 3, 2009) - United Community Banks, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ UCBI ]), Georgia's third-largest bank holding company, announced that its Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly dividend that will be paid in shares of common stock on April 1, 2009 to shareholders of record as of March 11, 2009. Each shareholder will receive one new share of common stock for every 130 shares held on March 11, 2009.
