BEIJING, CHINA--(Marketwire - Feb. 27, 2009) - Melco China Resorts (Holding) Limited (TSX VENTURE:MCG)(TSX VENTURE:MCG.WT) ("Melco China Resorts" or the "Company"), China's premier ski resort developer and operator, today announced that Danny Liu has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Melco China Resorts effective March 1, 2009. Mr. Liu, will replace the interim Chief Financial Officer Stephen Chung who is leaving Melco China Resorts upon termination of the interim arrangement for personal reasons.
Mr. Liu has over 18 years experience in finance and accounting, with extensive experience serving multinational corporations and a focus on the Asian Pacific and the Greater China regions. Before joining Melco China Resorts, Mr. Liu served as Regional Finance Director - Asia Pacific of Elixir Group, a subsidiary of Melco Group since 2006. Mr. Liu also served as Regional Finance Director - Asia Pacific of Polycom from 2004 to 2006 and Financial Controller of Sun Microsytems (China) from 2001 to 2004. Mr. Liu began his career with Coopers & Lybrand (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP), working in the audit group in both the London and Honk Kong offices in various management and supervisory roles. He obtained a Bachelor of Economics and Statistics (First Class Honour) from the University of Southampton (UK) and an MBA from the University of Hong Kong and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Fellow Member of Hong Kong Certified Public Accountants.
