Evercore Private Funds Group Strengthens Global Fundraising Capabilities

(NYSE: EVR) today announced further additions to its Private Funds Group continuing the teama™s expansion into the Asia-Pacific region and strengthening its global project management capabilities, with the signing of an exclusive affiliation with Australia-based Phoenix Capital Advisory and the addition of Jennifer Band from the UBS Private Funds Group.

Over the past year, Evercorea™s Private Funds Group has made significant progress in creating a global platform appropriate for todaya™s fundraising market and consistent with how industry trends are expected to develop, offering fundraising services across the traditional markets of the United States and Europe as well as the aemerginga regions of Asia and Australia which are expected to become increasingly important from both a capital flow and investment perspective over the coming years.

The Private Funds Group initiated its expansion into Asia earlier this year with the appointment of William Lee, based in Evercorea™s new Hong Kong office, to lead the groupa™s offering in the region. Matt Wormald and Mark Jackson, formerly of Lehman Brothers Australia, founded Phoenix Capital Advisory in 2009 and will be charged with developing LP and GP relationships in Australia and New Zealand, based out of their offices in Sydney.
