Textron Promotes Scott C. Donnelly to President

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) today announced that Chief Operating Officer Scott C. Donnelly has been named president in addition to his COO role. As president, Donnelly will continue to oversee all manufacturing operations as well as Textron's Information Technology, Six Sigma, Engineering and Global Sourcing functions.

"Since his arrival six months ago, Scott has proven to be an extremely talented executive with tremendous vision and operating acuity," said Textron Chairman and CEO Lewis B. Campbell. Donnelly joined Textron last June after a 19-year career with GE, where he most recently served as president and CEO of GE's $16 billion Aviation unit. He was also a member of the board of GE Capital.
