Constellation Energy Names Carim Khouzami Executive Director, Investor Relations

BALTIMORE--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Constellation Energy (NYSE:CEG) today announced the appointment of Carim V. Khouzami as executive director, investor relations. His appointment is effective immediately.

Khouzami, who most recently served as director, corporate strategy and development, assumes responsibility for Constellation Energy's investor relations function, reporting to Jonathan W. Thayer, senior vice president and chief financial officer for Constellation Energy.

"Carim's solid understanding of the energy industry, strong background in corporate strategy, and exceptional financial and business acumen will prove beneficial in this critically important function," said Thayer. "Carim possesses the analytical and financial communications skills necessary to effectively articulate Constellation Energy's business strategy to our investors."

Khouzami, who joined Constellation Energy in February 2005, succeeds Kevin W. Hadlock, who was recently appointed chief financial officer for Constellation Energy's subsidiary, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company. Khouzami has served as a director in the corporate strategy and development group, where he has been involved in merger and acquisition activities, including acquisition due diligence and strategic analysis, and the treasury group, where he worked on the financing framework for contemplated transactions and capital projects and performed other treasury-related analysis. Prior to joining Constellation Energy, Khouzami was an investment banker with Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. and Bank of America.

Khouzami earned a master's degree in business administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University.
