Access National Approved To Participate in Treasury Capital Purchase Program

RESTON, Va.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Access National Corporation (NASDAQ:ANCX) (the "Company"), holding company for Access National Bank, announced today that it has received preliminary approval from the U.S. Department of Treasury (the "Treasury") to participate in the voluntary Capital Purchase Program (the "Program"). The Company is evaluating the offer and will determine whether or not to participate within the prescribed 30 day deadline for acceptance. Should the Company choose to participate in the Program, it will issue up to $16 million of preferred stock to the Treasury, with related warrants to purchase up to $2.4 million in common stock. Participation in the Program is subject to the Treasury's standard terms and conditions, and review and completion of all necessary documentation.
