NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Western Asset Global Partners Income Fund Inc. (NYSE: GDF) announced today the results of the votes cast at the Fund's annual meeting of shareholders held on December 30, 2008.

Shareholders voted to elect Carol L. Colman, Paolo M. Cucchi and Leslie H. Gelb as Class II Directors of the Fund to hold office until the annual meeting of shareholders in the year 2011 or thereafter when their respective successors are duly elected and qualified.
