DENVER--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--XeDAR Corporation, (OTCBB: XDRC), provides homeland security and defense consulting and IT management-and-security services to the Departments of Homeland Security, Defense and others; national intelligence agencies; and the U.S. Military. It announced today a strategic agreement with IDV Solutions of Lansing, MI, with the goal of building a software solution specifically for the U.S. Defense and Intelligence communities and the energy development & land management markets.

This solution, utilizing IDV's Visual Fusion Suite, will integrate the customers' proprietary data (concerning national security, land development, natural resources, and so on) with various existing Internet and Web services and shareable workgroup files. The result will be both Web-based applications and a mobile application. This integration allows users who require a visual representation of data exactly that: a user-friendly, secure and easily accessible way to manage and analyze their own data. Users can share this data and work with it collaboratively in real time, and they will discover powerful, new ways to analyze their data, making them more efficient decision-makers.

The collaboration translates to a competitive advantage for XeDAR in the form of a powerful new tool for existing Defense and Homeland Security customers, as well as energy and natural resource customers. "We have over 16 million current and historical records associated with critical infrastructure, energy leasing, rights of way, land ownership, imagery, permits, Indian lands and other value-added products," says Bob Johnson, President of PDS, a XeDAR company. "Now, with IDV's Visual Fusion, we have a product that fuses these vastly complex datasets with the requirements of our commercial and governmental users."

IDV sees advantage as well. "We at IDV Solutions are proud to partner with XeDAR, to deliver their valuable content in Visual Fusion. Our alliance creates the state-of-the-art data-fusion application; for the first time, users will see their own data together with XeDAR's land use and infrastructure data," says Mark Morrison, CEO of IDV Solutions.

Charles Killpack, CEO of XeDAR's Geospatial Division, concurs. "We believe that visual representation of data is the critical component in providing useful and reliable operational analyses to our customers. IDV provides the platform required to build these practical analyses." Working with such large datasets of various formats means fusing "our customers' data, PDS data, and the aerial imagery collected by Pixxures aerial assets and digital sensors. IDV's Visual Fusion finally makes this possible. In reality, the real winners of this partnership will be the companies that have a large implementation of SharePoint and disparate geospatial data at the enterprise level. The SharePoint foundation and IDV's Visual Fusion makes geospatial data a social networking resource for the first time and opens up some incredible possibilities."

Finally, this should prove valuable to American Defense and Homeland Security as well. "These areas demand that critical information be available on multiple platforms including mobile devices such as cell phone and PDAs," says Hugh Williamson, CEO of XeDAR. "This agreement allows that. We can now deliver infrastructure data and imagery to the defense community, to provide critical data in a flexible and user-friendly manner. Our relationship with IDV Solutions is one we expect to be mutually successful."
