TUCSON, Ariz.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--David G. Hutchens has been named President of UniSource Energy Corporation (NYSE: UNS), expanding his responsibilities as the companyas second highest ranking executive.

Paul Bonavia remains Chief Executive Officer and continues to serve as Chairman of UniSource Energyas Board of Directors. Hutchens, formerly the companyas Executive Vice President, will now be responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution operations of subsidiaries Tucson Electric Power (TEP) and UniSource Energy Services (UES) along with other business support areas.

Hutchens, 45, served five years in the U.S. Navy and worked as an engineer before joining TEP as an energy analyst in July 1995. He later held management positions overseeing wholesale energy sales and, in January 2007, was named Vice President of Wholesale Energy and UNS Gas, an operating subsidiary of UES. He became vice president of Energy Efficiency and Resource Planning in May 2009 and was named Executive Vice President in March 2011.
