Flaherty & Crumrine Investment Grade Fixed Income Fund Announces Special Year End Distribution

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 16, 2011) - For the year ended December 31, 2011, Flaherty & Crumrine Investment Grade Fixed Income Fund (TSX:FFI.UN) (the "Fund") estimates that it will generate approximately $0.04 per unit of income in excess of its previously announced distributions for the year. As a result, the Fund is pleased to announce a special cash distribution of $0.04 per unit payable on January 16, 2012 to unitholders of record at the close of business on December 30, 2011. In total, the Fund will have distributed $1.00 per unit for the year ended December 31, 2011.
