American DG Energy Grows Energy Revenue by 25%
WALTHAM, Mass., Dec. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- [ American DG Energy Inc. ] (NYSE Amex: [ ADGE ]), a leading [ On‑Site Utility ], offering clean electricity, heat, hot water and cooling solutions to hospitality, healthcare, housing and athletic facilities, today announced that, over a period of six years ending September 30, 2011, the Company has realized approximately a twenty five percent compounded energy revenue growth.
"Despite the difficult period in the economy and drop in prices of electricity and natural gas, American DG Energy has seen a twenty five percent compounded energy revenue growth over a period of six years ending September 30, 2011," said John N. Hatsopoulos, CEO of American DG Energy. "Using the most advanced technology for our on-site energy systems gives American DG Energy a competitive advantage. We intend to leverage that advantage to its full potential in the coming year."
These advantages include:
Ultra Low Emissions
A new technological development, enhancing the equipment American DG Energy primarily deploys, reduces system emissions of criteria (smog generating) pollutants to unprecedented levels, enabling the system to meet the strictest emissions guidelines for NOx and other regulated compounds in the United States. Adding this technology to our service offering may provide a significant competitive advantage and may allow the Company to install combined heat and power (CHP) systems in California where the ultra-low emissions option will comply with the state's strict emissions level requirements.
High Efficiency Water Heater (Heat Pump)
The high efficiency water heater or heat pump, designed to boost efficiency, save money, and reduce impact on the environment, combines traditional boiler technology with the power of a heat pump to achieve twice the efficiency of a gas fired boiler. With this new system, the Company may be able to expand its focus from the Northeast United States to national and international markets.
Streamlined Process
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) recently awarded the new air emissions certification to the equipment we use in most of our systems. These are the first engine-driven systems to be granted this certification which eliminates the process of applying for pre-construction operation certification and air permits prior to installation of these systems and, ultimately, saves time and money on implementing new projects in New Jersey.
