GFI Group Inc. Announces One Day Extension of Exchange Offer

NEW YORK, Dec. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- GFI Group Inc. (NYSE: [ GFIG ]) announced today that it will extend its offer to exchange (the "Exchange Offer") up to $250 million in aggregate principal amount of its registered 8.375% Senior Notes due 2018 (the "New Notes") for up to $250 million in aggregate principal amount of its currently outstanding  unregistered 8.375% Senior Notes due 2018 (the "Original Notes") to 5:00p.m., New York City time, on December 15, 2011.  Other than the extension described in this announcement, all terms of the Exchange Offer remain unchanged.

As of close of business on December 14, 2011, $249.8 million in aggregate principal amount of the Original Notes have been validly tendered for exchange and not withdrawn.  The extension of the Exchange Offer has been made to allow those few holders of the outstanding Original Notes who have not yet tendered their Original Notes for exchange to do so.
