VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 11, 2010) - Corex Gold Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:CGE) is pleased to report that drilling has commenced with a second drill rig on its Santana gold project in Sonora State, Mexico. The program will comprise of a 6,100 meter (24 hole) reverse circulation program: Approximately 1,150 meters (6 holes) to follow up on previous drilling success (please refer to news release dated November 19, 2009) and approximately 5,000 meters (18 holes) of drilling targeted on new zones identified via the 3D IP Survey. This program is part of Corex's larger 2010 drill program that includes a minimum of 5,000 meters diamond drilling that began in February, 2010.

The break down of drilling is as follows:

Follow up drilling: will consist of 6 holes, designed to test targets located in an area measuring 2.3 km x 1.5 km as defined by favorable alteration, associated gold anomalies and previous drilling. These holes will test the strike extensions and chargeability anomalies of the Benjamin, El Nicho North and El Nicho Zones. These areas have been identified through Corex's 2008-09 drill program as well as the recently completed 3-D IP survey. Gold mineralization is associated with alteration assemblages that are characterized by pervasive and structurally controlled iron oxides, quartz vein stockwork, clay and sericite–illite alteration.

New Zone drill testing: will consist of 18 holes to test 4 new target areas of the Santana Project that were identified through the 3-D IP survey. These drill targets are testing a combination of chargeability highs, resistivity lows and gold in soil anomalies. The four new targets are identified as the following: Ubaldo, Tres Hermanas, Benjamin North and Marmero.
