HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - December 8, 2009) - ConEdison Solutions, one of the country's leading energy services companies, is expanding its Texas presence and its array of energy-related offerings in the region.
The firm, which has developed a strong reputation in the Texas market over the past three years as a provider of competitively priced energy supply to businesses, recently expanded its Houston energy supply team led by Texas electric industry veteran John Werner.
In addition to growing its commodity team, ConEdison Solutions also expanded its Texas presence in the energy efficiency and energy services market by bringing on Theresa Sifuentes as Business Development Manager for Texas. Ms. Sifuentes' prior role was with the Texas State Energy Office in Austin. With more than a decade of experience in markets around the United States, including past work in Texas completed by its Custom Energy Services subsidiary, ConEdison Solutions' energy services offering chiefly targets government, educational and other institutional customers.

The company -- with eight offices around the country -- recently relocated to expanded quarters at 1900 West Loop South in Houston and bolstered its in-house expertise by adding several experienced professionals to its local team.
The federal government, along with several states, has officially recognized ConEdison Solutions for the quality of its energy services offerings. The United States Postal Service (USPS), for example, recently honored the company with a Supplier Excellence Award under the 2008 USPS Supplier Performance Awards Program. And the states of Florida, New York, Arizona and North Carolina have formally designated ConEdison Solutions -- on a competitive basis -- as an approved energy service provider. The company is formally accredited as an Energy Services Provider by the National Association of Energy Services Companies.
