  • The fire service said seven crews were sent to tackle the blaze in Rothley, Leicestershire.

A fire at AJC Carpentry and Joinery in Blackburn, Lancashire, led to the evacuation of nearby homes as a precautionary measure. The blaze, which started around 7:30 PM, was tackled by six fire engines and an aerial ladder platform. No injuries were reported, and the fire was brought under control by 9:30 PM. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the business, which specializes in fitted furniture, has not yet commented on the incident.
