  ACCA's Global Talent Trends Survey 2025 reveals that 63% of Indian accountants aim to launch startups, highlighting a shift toward entrepreneurship, hybrid work, and global career aspirations.

According to a survey by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), 63% of Indian accountants are interested in starting their own businesses, driven by a desire for greater control over their careers and the potential for higher earnings. The survey, which included over 3,000 respondents from various countries, highlighted that Indian accountants are particularly motivated by the entrepreneurial environment in India, with 71% believing that the country offers good opportunities for new businesses. Additionally, the survey found that 57% of Indian accountants are confident in their ability to successfully run a business, and 49% have already taken steps towards entrepreneurship, such as developing a business plan or seeking funding. The findings underscore a strong entrepreneurial spirit among Indian accountants, supported by a favorable business climate and personal confidence in their entrepreneurial skills.
