This legal action stems from a SEBI order in March 2023 that revised the ASM framework, which Gawli alleges was manipulated to benefit certain brokers. The court has also directed the Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) to submit a report on the investigation's progress by the next hearing date.
