Changes to the Tejon Ranch Co.as Board of Directors

TEJON RANCH, Calif.--([ ])--Tejon Ranch Co. (NYSE: TRC) today announced two changes to its Board of Directors, including the election of a new director and the retirement of a current member of the Board.

Daniel R. Tisch was elected to the Board at its March 13, 2012 board meeting. Mr. Tisch represents Tejon Ranch Co.as second largest shareholder, TowerView LLC, a New York city-based investment firm. Mr. Tisch previously served as General Partner of Mentor Partners, L.P., predecessor to TowerView, and formerly was Managing Director at Salomon Brothers, Inc.

In addition to his professional duties, Mr. Tisch serves on the boards of numerous non-profit educational organizations, including Suffield Academy, a New England Co-ed Prep School where he serves as Board President; New York University, where he sits on the boardas Executive Committee; and the Partnership for Childrenas Rights, a provider of legal services to disadvantaged families to help them maximize public educational services.

At its March 13 meeting, the Tejon Ranch Co. Board of Directors also acknowledged the retirement of director Barbara Grimm-Marshall. Mrs. Grimm-Marshall is co-owner of Grimmway Farms, the worldas largest grower, packer and shipper of fresh, processed, and frozen carrots. She has served on the Board since 2006 and is retiring to devote full time to her various educational efforts, including the newly-formed Grimmway Academy Charter School, and expansion of the Grimmway Family Foundationas Edible Schoolyard program.

In addition to Mr. Tisch, the members of the Tejon Ranch Company Board of Directors include Board Chairman, Real Estate Attorney Kent G. Snyder; directors John L. Goolsby and Norman Metcalfe, both involved in private investments and real estate; George G.C. Parker, Dean Witter Distinguished Professor of Finance at Stanford Business School; Geoffrey L. Stack, Managing Director of SARES-REGIS Group; Robert A. Stine; and Michael H. Winer, Portfolio Manager with Third Avenue Management LLC.
