BOSTON--([ ])--Highfields Capital Management LP, the largest independent shareholder of CoreLogic, Inc. (NYSE: CLGX), today commented on the Companyas announcement of an expansion of the Board and postponement of CoreLogicas annual meeting.

Jonathon S. Jacobson, Founder, CEO and Chief Investment Officer, said, aAs weave said before, CoreLogic needs a Board with the collective professional skills and experience necessary to capitalize on the Companyas unique assets and ensure that management is held accountable for performance. We wish we could say with confidence that the Board recognizes this need, but todayas announcement of a simple Board expansion does not go nearly far enough and reminds us of half-measures taken in the past.

Expanding the Board by two will not alter the fact that the Board continues to be controlled by the same six directors hand-picked by the current or former Chairman and will not result in a change in Board leadership. Without such a change, shareholders cannot be assured that new directors will have the influence to bring their expertise to bear and positively affect the Company and its operations. Even more, given the Boardas history of ignoring independent voices, perpetuating the current Board control, as todayas announcement clearly signals, will likely discourage high quality candidates from being interested in serving as CoreLogic directors.a

Mr. Jacobson continued: aWe had hoped that the Company would take real steps toward reconstituting the Board and its leadership, and thereby gain widespread shareholder support for such a process. Todayas announcement is disappointing; it indicates that the CoreLogic Board remains interested only in making minor cosmetic changes rather than recognizing that shareholders deserve better stewardship of the Companyas world-class assets. It is time to move beyond token gestures and make meaningful changes to the Boardas composition and leadership.a
