MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MAA (NYSE: MAA) today announced that its board of directors approved a quarterly common dividend of $0.6600 per share payable on April 30, 2012 to shareholders of record on April 13, 2012.

As established in prior quarters, the company is declaring its quarterly common dividend in advance of its earnings announcement, which it expects to make on May 3, 2012.
