VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 19, 2011) - Blue Gold Mining Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BGX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Charlie Ronkos, Senior Vice President of Exploration at Goldcorp Inc., to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Ronkos is a well-respected and successful exploration executive with more than 30 years of industry experience. Mr. Ronkos has served in his current executive position at Goldcorp since being promoted from VP, Exploration in July 2010. From 1999, until the completion of Goldcorp's acquisition of Glamis Gold Ltd. in 2006, Mr. Ronkos contributed in a variety of management roles at Glamis before ultimately advancing to the position of Vice President, Exploration. Mr. Ronkos has also worked with Rayrock Resources Inc. (1992-97) prior to its acquisition by Glamis, as well as Rio Algom, Battle Mountain Gold, Pegasus, Hecla and Cordex.
