PRINCETON, N.J.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--AXIS Global Accident & Health, a division of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited (NYSE: AXS), announced today that Dan Bolgar was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Accident & Health Reinsurance as of February 1, 2011 and has also joined the divisiona™s executive board. He is based in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Prior to joining AXIS Global Accident & Health, Dan was an Executive Vice President with Willis Re in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he led its Life, Accident & Health Global Practice Group. Dan joined Willis Re (formerly Willis Faber & Dumas) in 1994, specializing in North American and London Market Personal Accident reinsurance. During his tenure at Willis Re, Dan worked in both London and Minneapolis, developing the companya™s Accident and Medical business, and running its Accident & Health unit in London. Dan holds a Joint Honors degree from Cambridge University in History and Education and qualified as an Associate of The Chartered Insurance Institute in 1998.
