On February 16, 2011, the companies announced that they have entered into a business combination agreement under which NYSE Euronext would be acquired by Deutsche Boerse. Under the terms of the agreement, NYSE Euronext stockholders will receive 0.4700 of a share of a new holding company under Deutsche Boerse for each share of NYSE Euronext/NYX common stock held.
