RYE, N.Y.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--GAMCO Investors, Inc. (NYSE: GBL) today named Robert D. Leininger, CFA as Portfolio Manager of the Gabelli Dividend and Income Trust Inc. (NYSE: GDV), GAMCOa™s largest closed-end fund with $1.7 billion in assets, launched on November 28, 2003. Mr. Leininger joins Mario J. Gabelli and Barbara G. Marcin who have been the team portfolio managers of the Gabelli Dividend and Income Trust since its inception.

Mr. Leininger initially joined GAMCO in 1993 as a security analyst covering the beverage industry after earning his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1997, Mr. Leininger moved to Rorer Asset Management LLC in Philadelphia where he was a member of the investment policy committee and a partner in the firm. Later, he joined Copeland Capital Management in August 2009 as a partner and portfolio manager. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the Financial Analyst Society of Philadelphia. Before attending Wharton, Mr. Leininger was a portfolio manager at PNC Financial. Mr. Leininger is a magna cum laude graduate of Amherst College with a degree in Economics.
