NORTHERN FINANCIAL REPORTS RESULTS OF ANNUAL AND SPECIAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS

TORONTO, Sept. 16 /CNW/ - Northern Financial Corporation (TSX: NFC) ("Northern" or the "Company") announced the election of the following Directors at its annual and special meeting of shareholders held today: Vic Alboini, Ian Bradley, William Grant, and Wes Roitman.

Northern's shareholders reappointed Deloitte & Touch LLP to serve as Northern's auditors. Shareholders also approved amendments to each of the Company's Employee Share Purchase Plan and the Equity Incentive Plan.
