French football intends to have its own version of the Premier League, with a club-owned entity replacing the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) as part of plans announced by French Football Federation president Philippe Diallo on Monday.

The French Football Federation (FFF) is exploring the adoption of a financial model similar to the English Premier League to enhance the financial stability and competitiveness of its top clubs. FFF president Philippe Diallo has expressed interest in implementing a system that would allow French clubs to benefit from increased revenue and financial sustainability, much like the Premier League's model. This initiative comes in response to the financial challenges faced by French clubs, particularly in comparison to their English counterparts, and aims to bridge the financial gap by potentially increasing revenue through broadcasting rights and other commercial deals.
