  • Asset manager Vanguard said on Monday it was lowering the cost of investing across its fund lineup in its largest cut ever and estimated that this would translate into savings of more than $350 million for its investors this year.

Vanguard, a major U.S. asset manager, announced on February 3, 2025, that it is reducing fees across a range of its mutual funds and ETFs, expecting to save investors approximately $350 million by the end of 2025. This move includes lowering expense ratios for 12 mutual funds and 18 ETFs, with some funds seeing reductions of up to 10%. The fee cuts are part of Vanguard's strategy to maintain its competitive edge in the low-cost investment market, particularly as investors increasingly turn to passive investment strategies. Vanguard's CEO, Tim Buckley, emphasized the firm's commitment to reducing costs for investors, stating that these savings would directly benefit shareholders by enhancing their long-term investment returns.
