The global insurer's core operating income rose to $5.08 per share, surpassing the analysts' expectations of $4.98 per share. This growth was supported by a 10.5% increase in net premiums written, reaching $12.2 billion, and a 28.5% jump in net investment income to $1.49 billion, fueled by higher reinvestment rates and strong performance from its investment portfolio.
