  • After more than a year of helping solar installers sell, plan, and finance panels for residential and small commercial building owners, Niko found another opportunity.

Niko, a solar startup, is pioneering Mexico's first virtual power plant (VPP) by integrating solar panels, batteries, and smart energy management systems into a network that can be managed as a single, flexible power plant. This initiative aims to enhance grid stability, reduce reliance on traditional power sources, and promote renewable energy use in Mexico. The VPP will allow for the aggregation of distributed energy resources, enabling better energy distribution, peak load management, and potentially lower electricity costs for consumers. Niko's project not only supports Mexico's transition towards sustainable energy but also positions the country as a leader in innovative energy solutions in Latin America.
